Automatic Transmission Supply for Distributors
This page is written for distributors: buyers who stock automatic transmission assemblies for resale to workshops, retailers and end users. It covers distributor supply at category level: what a distributor order looks like, what information it needs, and how repeat supply is handled.
Distributor ordering patterns
A distributor order is usually a stocking order: a range of categories held for resale, replenished as stock moves. That pattern makes repeat availability, consistent packing and clear documentation more important than a single low price on a single unit, because the distributor's customer will judge the distributor on availability and on the condition of the unit received. An inquiry from a distributor should therefore describe the stocking range in categories, the quantities involved, and the replenishment rhythm, so that the quotation can address the programme rather than one isolated shipment.
Categories covered are AT, CVT, DCT and transfer case assemblies, in new, remanufactured and used supply forms, with related parts categories alongside. The general pages focus on new supply. A distributor who stocks more than one form should say so, since condition affects warranty, handling and customer expectations, and a mixed stocking range needs a quotation that keeps the forms clearly separate.
What a distributor inquiry should state
State the categories to be stocked, the supply form for each, the quantity and the target date, and any packing, labelling or documentation requirement that resale imposes. Share your quantity and target date to get MOQ and lead time for your order. Add whether the order is for general stock or for a named customer, since the two cases are packed and documented differently, and add any certificate or warranty wording that resale customers will require, so that it is confirmed for the units quoted rather than assumed afterwards.
Warranty is stated as at least 1 year, following company materials, and certificates are available upon request. Both should be asked about per order. A distributor who passes a warranty or certificate statement on to a resale customer should hold the statement for the specific units delivered, not a general site sentence, and the inquiry is the place to obtain it.
