Programme buying
A programme order differs from a single order in that it repeats, and the supplier relationship must therefore handle continuity: the same category, the same packing and documentation, and the same after-sales contact, across successive deliveries. Categories covered are AT, CVT, DCT and transfer case assemblies, in new, remanufactured and used supply forms, with related parts categories alongside. A programme inquiry should describe the programme in general terms, the categories involved, the quantities per delivery, the delivery rhythm, and the overall timing, so that the quotation can address the programme rather than a single shipment in isolation.
Production tracking is particularly relevant to programme buyers, since a programme depends on successive deliveries arriving as planned. Tracking questions should quote the programme and delivery references, so that progress can be matched to the correct delivery rather than to the programme in general.
Requesting a programme quotation
State the categories, the supply form for each, the quantity per delivery, the delivery rhythm and the overall target date. Share your quantity and target date to get MOQ and lead time for your order, and add packing, documentation, warranty and certificate needs in the same message, since programme documents are often checked by a customer's quality or purchasing function and must match the delivered units exactly.
Warranty is stated as at least 1 year, following company materials, and certificates are available upon request. Both should be asked about per order and per delivery, and a programme buyer who needs either statement for an approval file should obtain it for the specific units and deliveries quoted, in the first inquiry.
